The first thing I'd like to put on the table, is that I'm not at all opposed to rap and hip-hop, at least not good rap and hip-hop.
I've found that as a fan and "consumer" of the guitar and its related music, there is always reason to branch out into other genres and types of music, rap included.
Though if you happen to play guitar and also be an avid gym goer, you might have noticed somewhat of a lack of appreciation for the music you love in the gym. I know I have. It's all made up of really aggressive rap of hip-hop, which for me, just doesn't do a good job of motivating.
My solution was to get my own rock workout playlist together and buy a decent pair of noise cancelling ear buds.
I figured that if I was listening to music anyway, I might as well get to pick what it was.
This is a list of the music that I would soon choose, and have since found to be extremely motivating during a workout, which is something that like guitar, I'm also very passionate about.
If you share the same interests, and have had trouble finding workout playlists online that aren't primarily made up of Eminem and Jay-z, here are some alternative choices that you might not have thought off.
These songs all fit the following categories:
- Emphasis on guitar.
- Aggressive and motivating tempo.
- Hard Rock or Modern Metal

What songs would you add to this list?
