Ambient Bass Pedalboard Build Description
This is a bass pedalboard build that focuses on ambient tones and textures, with a versatile roster of boutique pedals that includes multiple bass synths and multiple delays.
Based on the Twitter embed below, it looks like the board is running off a Pedaltrain pedalboard and CIOKS power supply.

Ambience and Filtering
The board relies on filter/synth and ambient effects, running two pedals each for both categories. In the ambient department you have two delay pedals from Source Audio:
- Source Audio Nemesis
- Source Audio Collider
The Collider doubles as a reverb pedal, but combined, you have a ton of ambience at your disposal and plenty of texturing ability.
Filters and Synths
On the synth/filter side, you have a rather small and expensive box by a company called Banana Effects and then the Xerograph Deluxe by Iron Ether.
This board relies heavily on boutique pedal brands, with the Boss OC-5 essentially the only mainline brand represented, unless you count the TC Electronic Polytune 2.

Pitch Shifting
Pitch shifting gets its own dual-pedal category as well, with the following:
- Boss OC-5
- DigiTech Whammy Ricochet
Overdrive and Modulation
Otherwise the pedalboard runs a boutique bass preamp/overdrive pedal, and two modulation boxes: One from from Wampler and a second from Red Panda called the Bitmap 2.
- Wampler Terraform
- Red Panda Bitmap 2
Finishing up is a strange-looking gain pedal by Dr. Scientist called the "Frazz Dazzler."
Miscellaneous
For tuning, the signal looks like it ends with the Polytune 2 Mini, though we've listed the newer Polytune 3 Mini, since the 2 is no longer available.
There's also a Moog expression pedal, though it's unclear which pedal it's controlling.
Expression
On the board, the following boxes all have an expression input:
- Wampler Terraform
- Bitmap 2
- Frazz Dazzler (controls mix)
- Xerograph Deluxe
- Source Audio Collider
Summary
In total it's 11 stompboxes, giving you a massive amount of texturing and layering opportunities. For bass pedalboard builders looking for some ideas, we like the versatility and intensity of this board as a good template to follow.
