The Best Amp for a Godin A6 Ultra
Helix, HX Stomp, or processor with acoustic and electric amp models
You could use a traditional acoustic amp like the Fishman Loudbox, but I'd recommend considering an amp or pedal processor like the Line 6 HX Stomp that has acoustic and electric amp models. This will let you really take advantage of the Godin A6's versatility, and will be useful for other guitars as well.
THE HX STOMP IS BEST FOR: Multiple instruments, amp modeling, effects processing, flexibility, and multiple styles, acoustic and electric guitars, especially when you have to switch between the two.
- The Godin A6 can wear an acoustic or electric hat, and will have plenty of both models to choose from in the HX Stomp.
- Extremely customizable.
- Cheaper than others in the Helix series.
- Easy to transport and saves you from lugging around a physical amp. It'll literally fit on your guitar's gig bag pocket.
- Controls are tedious because of the smaller size and screen.

Why I like the Godin A6 and HX Stomp Pairing
I want to reiterate that you could go with a traditional acoustic amp, like the Fishman Loudbox.
But the reason I like the HX Stomp is that you can go with either an acoustic or electric amp model, which just makes the most sense given how flexible the A6 can be. When researching this, I noticed a lot of Godin A6 owners that went this route and were really happy with the results.
Having used the HX Stomp acoustic models myself, I think it's a good fit here.
How I Made this Recommendation
It was tricky to narrow this down, but as I've already pointed out, the A6 needs an amplifier that can wear different hates. From there, I focused on options that I've used and that other players have good things to say about.
All of the products I recommend are from brands I know and trust. Then I focus on amps and processors that I've owned, used, or can glean reliable information from someone else.
You're always getting recommendations from real guitar players and musicians, based on first-hand experience.
