Where should I buy a line 6 Helix?
For a new Helix, Sweetwater is a good place to start.
If you're looking to buy a new Line 6 Helix, Sweetwater is our top recommendation for new music gear. We'll cover some additional retailers, including some used markets, below.

The Helix is one of the most powerful multi-effects pedals on the market. It's capable of replacing an entire rig, while giving you a ton of different sounds to work with in the process. If you're in the market for one, we're going to cover the best options in our Line 6 Helix buying guide.
Note that there are three versions of the Helix, the Floor, the Rack, and the Helix LT.
While this guide focuses on the Floor model (sometimes referred to as the Core model), retailers that carry the Helix Floor will also carry the other versions, so this article applies to those as well.

Is it okay to buy one used?
The only issue you might have with buying a Helix used is that you'll likely go without a warranty. That said, you can definitely save some money. Reverb and eBay are good places to check, though Reverb is the better option of the two.
Check Reverb for availability: Line 6 Helix
Particularly with such an expensive purchase, it might make sense to get one new so you have a bit of a safety net. But check to see what's available and how much money you can save.
For what it's worth, Reverb has their own return policy, which is usually 14 days.
Make sure you do the research on this stuff before pulling the lever.
Review of the Helix forms (versions)
As mentioned earlier, there are three forms of the Helix that you could consider, depending on your situation.
- Helix Floor
- Helix Rack
- Helix LT
The Helix LT is a lite version that is a bit more stripped down, but significantly cheaper.

If you have a rack system, the Helix Rack could be a good choice, although you'll probably have to buy the Helix floor controller, which is another significant investment.
Generally speaking, the Helix Floor, the core model, is going to be the most ideal option for the largest number of people.
