While we make every effort to regularly update our content and keep it current, please keep in mind that app updates are frequent, and can impact your experience to varying degrees.
Guitar Tricks does have an Android app, which is free to download on Google Play and - to date - has over 500,000 downloads. It's one of the more popular guitar learning apps on the network, and makes all of the Guitar Tricks content available to the user, just like the desktop version of Guitar Tricks.

The Guitar Tricks Android app is available on Google Play.
Is the Guitar Tricks Android app free?
Yes, the app is free to download, though you'll need to setup an account in order to access all of the content. Whatever login information you use on the desktop or web version will also work on other devices, including Android.
You can use the 14 day free trial to setup an account and get started:
How do you setup an account on the Android app?
While you can use the Android app to start a Guitar Tricks account, we'd recommend setting your account up on the website first, via a desktop or laptop, then downloading the Android app on your phone and simply logging in with the account you've already established. That'll be simpler than trying to start from scratch on your phone.

Does the Android app provide access to all the same content as the desktop/web version?
Yes - there is no difference between the iPhone, Android, and desktop/web apps in terms of what level of content you'll have access to. Moreover, there is only one type of Guitar Tricks membership, as it doesn't work in tiers. Either you have access to all of the content, or you don't.
Assuming you've signed up for a membership, you'll have access to all the content on the site via the Android app, or whatever device you decide to use.
How much does it cost to sign up?
We've written a detailed page on the Guitar Tricks pricing structure, which you can access here:

Does the app run smoothly on Android?
Guitar Tricks keeps all their apps regularly updated, and given all the testing we've done on multiple devices - including Android and Apple TV - we've never once had an instance of the app being sluggish, crashing, or not running well. Of course, your experience can vary depending on your device and whether or not you keep your apps updated, but we wouldn't anticipate any issues.
Is it better just to use the desktop/web version of the app?
Personally, we've preferred to use and test Guitar Tricks on tablets - usually an iPad - and desktop computers. That's just because we prefer the bigger screen when we're doing something like learning guitar.
However, you should have no issues running on Android if you don't mind a smaller screen (maybe an Android tablet would be a good fit).
Is the Android version of the app different than the iPhone version?
While there are subtle differences, given the two operating systems, the app on Android is going to look and function the same as the iPhone version of the app. It comes down simply to which device you have/prefer, as you shouldn't experience any kind of quality difference between the two.
Conclusion and Questions
Guitar Tricks has built a lot of consistency for their product across multiple platforms and devices. This means that if you have an account, your experience will be pretty much the same no matter what device you use. Just keep in mind, you have to make sure you have a membership before the app will be useful to you.
