What about Guitar Tricks' promotional pricing?
As I referenced earlier, Guitar Tricks runs promotional offers for their memberships, usually their yearly plan. The best deals I've seen run during November and December, during the Black Friday and Christmas season. Here are the two promo pricing models I've seen most regularly:
- Annual Membership: Price cut to $99 (regularly $179)
- Annual Membership plus a free Huntington acoustic guitar: Price cut to $129 (regularly $179 plus value of the guitar)
If you sign up for their mailing list (usually when you sign up for a free basic account), you'll get emails if and when they offer these promotions. Alternatively, you can check the Guitar Tricks promo page to see if those offers are active.
You can also check our page that rounds up coupons.

Guitar Tricks offers a 14 day free trial, after which you can funnel into a paid membership or cancel from your account's dashboard without getting charged. Even then, you can fall back on the 60-day money back guarantee to get a refund if you decide it's not for you.
I got into a ton of detail about the Guitar Tricks free trial, for those who are more curious about what the process entails.

I've worked with and know several of the people over at Guitar Tricks, and have been a customer of theirs dating as far back as 2008.
They've been an incredibly helpful resource to me, both as a guitar teacher and student. If you want more information about their program, you can read my Guitar Tricks review or checkout one of these comparison pages:

Is it set up for guitar beginners in UK and what would the cost be
Hey Des – yeah you should be able to buy a membership in the UK all the same. For monthly you’d be looking at 15.40 pounds per month and for a year would be 138.13 pounds. Hope this is helpful.
Thanks for your prompt reply to my query. I am due to have a spinal op in 4 weeks and may not be able to use a guitar for about 6 to 12 weeks, can I suspend membership for that time. I am 73 years old and wondered if it is still not to late to learn guitar.
Desmond – let me check with my contact at GT and I’ll respond back here.
Desmond – I spoke with my contact at GT and she said that you can pause the account. Just write into admin@guitartricks.com and ask for the amount of time you’d like to pause. Let me know if you have additional questions.
Hi Bobby,
Do you know if the company is anyway related to UltimateGuitar ?
Many thanks for your time.

Hey Max – Nope. No relation to Ultimate Guitar. Ultimate Guitar is overseas and Guitar Tricks is headquartered in San Francisco. Both great sites. Let me know if you have any additional questions.
