They're the second most visited website in the Arts and Entertainment category, and the 65th most visited site globally, as of June 2023.

- In 2015 their number was about 68 million.
- Paid memberships: Roughly 229 million users are subscribed to Spotify Premium.
- Ad-Supported Listeners: Ad-supported Spotify users are around 300 million in 2023.
- Finances and Losses: Despite these numbers, Spotify reported nearly a $300 million loss in 2022.
- User demographics: Most Spotify users worldwide are aged 18 to 34, accounting for approximately 62 percent of Spotify’s active user base. These numbers are roughly the same in the United States.
Website Usage Data
Here are some numbers on Spotify's monthly website traffic, according to Similarweb.
- In June of 2023, 491.8 million users accessed Spotify's platform.
- An average, each user visited a total of 5.92 pages per session.
- On average, users spent roughly 8 minutes and 11 seconds on the site.
- Roughly 78 percent of Spotify's traffic is direct, meaning they do not come through search engines or referrals from other websites. Rather, users are typing the URL into the address bar or clicking on a bookmarked tab.
User Demographics
While demographics are a bit tough to measure precisely, the website's Similarweb data once again gives us a nice overview.
- Users ages 18-34 account for over 60 percent of Spotify's traffic.
- Roughly 57 percent of Spotify users are male.
- The United States makes up the largest share of Spotify users at roughly 27 percent.
- No other country eclipses 5 percent of Spotify's user shares.
