How much does the Martin D-18 Cost?
Currently ERROR
The Martin D-18 is a popular dreadnought acoustic guitar, currently selling for ERROR on Sweetwater and most major retailers. Being in a higher pricing tier, it's considered a professional grade acoustic with a lot of longevity.

There are several versions of the Martin D-18 that span a wide price range. Here are just a few that are worth mentioning:
- The regular Martin D-18
- D-18E (version with built-in electronics)
- Authentic 1937 VTS
- Modern Deluxe
The other variations are mostly in regards to the finish on the body. There's also a left-handed version.
But primarily, when I talk about the Martin D-18 price, I'm referring to the base model which is the most popular from the series.

The plain ol' Martin D-18 is the subject of this price guide. We'll include a few of the others in our price tables below.
As you can see, the 1937 VTS is the priciest. And though it's not pictured in the above screenshot, the Modern Deluxe version is also significantly more expensive. Again, check the pricing table below for updated numbers.

Pricing from major retailers
The regular, Modern Deluxe, D-18E, and 1937 models are all available from most of the popular retailers. You can see the difference in pricing via the tables below. As always, keep in mind that while these tables are updated in real time, pricing is always subject to change.

Amazon pricing
Amazon will, in some cases, have used Martin D-18 acoustics from third party sellers, which will be listed here. Note that Amazon doesn't let us track price history, so they're omitted from the alert and history tools below.
Price Alert
The alert follows the lowest price from all the retailers listed, except Amazon. Aim for a 10-15 percent discount, but even that is a bit optimistic considering how popular and time-honored this guitar is.
Price History
Again, this graph follows the lowest price of all the listings. Since the StreetLegend and Satin finish versions are the cheapest, those are likely to be the ones triggering each data point. If there's only one mark on the graph, it's because the Martin D-18 price hasn't changed recently.

Used options on Reverb
Martin acoustics have a good presence on Reverb and typically sustain a lot of used inventory.
Though you need to keep an eye on the year of the guitar, depending on what you want. For example, a D-18 from the 1960s is going to cost you more just because of the antique and collector's aspect.

The Martin D-18 has been around for a long time, so if you buy used there will be a range of prices depending on the year of the model in question.
You can see that these guitars tend to hold their value, so buying new might be your better option.
Still, you can check to see what Reverb has here.

Conclusion
Again, we'd probably recommend buying the D-18 new, and perhaps going with the StreetLegend version since it saves you some money (and looks cooler). But regardless of what you decide, this page will give you a reliable snapshot of the numbers you'll be dealing with.
