How much does the Taylor 314ce cost? (price guide)
Currently $2,199.00
The Taylor 314ce is an upper-tier, concert-style acoustic guitar currently retailing at $2,199.00 . In this price range, it's one of the more popular guitars on the market, falling just below prices that most people view as unattainable.

These days $2000 isn't necessarily "a lot" for an acoustic guitar. This is part of the reason we've always focused on higher-priced guitars, especially with brands like Taylor and Martin. On this page we're looking at the pricing conventions and market value for the Taylor 314ce. This is a Spruce/Sapele tonewood mixture, where the 214 series has a solid Spruce top and laminate Rosewood.
All the wood in the 314ce is solid (no laminate) which we'd expect in this price range.
In the tables below we have pricing tools that lists the 314ce cost from multiple vendors which is updated in real time.
This is a price guide for those already interested in the Taylor 314ce and not a review or recommendation. However, we don't write about products that we don't like and support. Note that we use partner links from Sweetwater and other retailers to support ourselves. If you buy through one of these links, we may get a commission at no extra cost to you.
Taylor 314ce Amazon Price
Amazon carries Taylor guitars and typically has a lot of variations. The price point is usually similar to, if not the same as, Sweetwater. Note that it's updated in real time and lists used versions as well (if there are any).
Prices accurate as of Sun, December 03rd, 2023.
Multiple Vendors
Sweetwater is typically closest to what we'd call a par market value. They don't drop prices a lot, but they don't run them up either. Note that we can't pull prices from Guitar Center or Musician's Friend, but we recommend checking in with them as well for their Taylor 314ce price point.

Taylor 314ce Price History
As with the alert, the price history graph below follows the lowest price listed among all the vendors in the above table. Typically eBay will have the lowest price since they have a larger used inventory, though that isn't always the case.

Other Buying Options
Most big box music stores carry Taylor guitars. Even Walmart is getting in on the action. As we mentioned, Guitar Center and Musician's Friend are the two main places to check other than what we have listed.
If you're looking to buy used, we'd recommend Reverb. It's a better used market than a place like eBay because Reverb focuses entirely on music gear.
Reverb Price and Availability
We have to pull pricing from Reverb separately because of the way their database is set up (nerd stuff), so we've included a price here that updates daily and includes the number of 314ces available. Note that the price shown is the lowest among all inventory.

Cheaper Alternatives
There are a ton of great Taylor acoustics. Here are a couple cheaper alternatives that we've reviewed:
As the series number goes up, so does cost. If you want something cheaper, drop down to the 100 or 200 series. The GS Mini is obviously cheaper, and extremely popular if you don't need a super high-end acoustic. The GS Mini is still what we'd consider mid-tier in terms of quality. It's a fantastic deal.
Conclusion
High-end acoustic guitars (and electrics) don't tend to fluctuate in price as much as the lower priced options. When you get over the $2000 price point, things steady quite a bit. The Taylor 314ce price is pretty fair in our estimation, common for that caliber of guitar.
Use our tables to keep track and compare your options. Deciding between used and new should also be a priority.
