Opting into our Newsletter
We collect additional information (aside from cookies and IP addresses) only when you sign up for our newsletter. That information is completely voluntary. Unless you actively opt into our mailing list, it is not available to us.
What data is collected?
Once you do opt into our newsletter, we have your email address on file for the purpose of sending you our newsletter. The "name" field is optional, though if you choose to fill it out, we have that information as well, associated with your email address. You can, of course, opt out at any time with an unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email you receive from us.
Sharing or Selling Information
We do not share, sell, lend or lease any of the information that uniquely identifies a subscriber (such as email addresses or personal details) with anyone.
Who is collecting the data?
Your email address is never shared or sold. It is only know to us, MailerLite and Mail Chimp services.
Guitar Chalk is not responsible for Mail Chimp or MailerLite’s use of your email address.
What is the legal basis for processing the data?
Upon subscribing to our newsletter, you are giving your voluntary consent (assumes legitimate interest) to receive emails from us about the content we publish.
What are my rights as the subject?
Among other rights under GDPR, you have the right to be forgotten, to correct the data you submitted or to object to the use of your data and to rescind your consent. The easiest way to do this is by unsubscribing from our newsletter or by emailing us and asking to be removed.
Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act
This website is directed to adults. It is not directed to children under the age of 13. We operate our site in-compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, and will not knowingly collect or use personal information from anyone under 13 years of age.
