- The Charvel Pro-Mod DK24 has an Alder body and a satin finish, whereas the Ibanez Premium AZ42P1 features an American Basswood body with a gloss polyurethane finish.
- The DK24's neck is made of caramelized Maple with a Charvel Speed Neck shape, while the AZ42P1's neck is also Maple (roasted) but with an AZ Oval C shape.
- Fingerboard material differs; the DK24 uses caramelized Maple, while the AZ42P1 opts for Rosewood.
- The DK24's nut is GraphTech Tusq XL, contrasting with the AZ42P1's Graph Tech NuBone nut.
