Fender American Ultra Telecaster VS Ultra Luxe HH/FLoyd: What are the main differences?
Bridge hardware, pickup type/configuration, body tonewood
The presence of an HH humbucker configuration and the Floyd Rose bridge in the Ultra Luxe gives it a far more aggressive tone, and is certainly a departure from the traditional Tele sound and design. For the legacy Tele experience, go with the Ultra. But if you want something heavier, the Ultra Luxe HH/Floyd is a better option. It's worth noting, there's a version of the Ultra Luxe without the HH and Floyd configuration.

What would I go with?
The Ultra Telecaster leans more towards classic Tele tones with its single coil pickup arrangement (angled bridge and lipstick neck) and a traditional Telecaster bridge (the modernized version). The Ultra Luxe Telecaster is a more modern and versatile setup with humbuckers and a Floyd Rose tremolo system. As a result the Ultra Luxe is going to be a lot heavier, and more rock-focused.
If you want to play that heavier style, the Ultra Luxe can definitely handle it.
But for a more traditional tone and style, the Ultra would be a better option, and would save you some money in the process.
