Potential Under the Bridge Amp Settings
Gain: 1 / Volume: 8 / Bright Button: On / Bass: 5 / Mid: 7 / Treble: 7 / Reverb: Off / Presence: 10
We've linked to John Frusciante's general amp settings below, but for "Under the Bridge", make sure presence is high, and the bright switch is on (if you have those two controls). Otherwise, it's a very clean and almost "snappy" sound that will be a lot easier to attain with a Stratocaster, Jaguar, or Telecaster type of guitar.

The "Under the Bridge" track off Blood Sugar Sex Magik is - in my opinion - a bit more elusive than John Frusciante's general sound. It has a little more snap and sweetness to it, which I think is helped along by the Fender Jaguar (in the video so I'm assuming that's what he plays on the record), hybrid picking, and high presence on a Marshall (maybe Fender?) tube amplifier. If you have an amp without a bright switch and/or presence control, this one is going to be tough. That said, the amp settings provided here can at least get you started. I do not recommend a dual humbucker pickup configuration for this.

"Under the Bridge" Clean Amp Settings
Start with these settings and see how close you get. If you have a modeling amp or an effects processor that can model amps, go with some kind of a British tube model.

High presence and low gain will get you close. We'd have mids and treble high as well. Make sure this is with a guitar that's running P90s or single coil pickups. Image via IK Multimedia

If you have questions about our Under the Bridge amp settings or suggestions of your own, please feel free to reach out via the comments section below. Keep in mind that tone settings are always somewhat subjective and highly dependent on your guitar and amp, more so than settings alone.
Use what I've provided here as a template and starting point, and tweak as needed.
I hope it's helpful.
Good luck out there.
