What's in Flea's Red Hot Chili Peppers bass rig?
Fender and Ernie Ball bass guitars, Gallien-Krueger amps, and EHX pedals (among others).
Flea uses a bunch of different bass guitars, not all of which I fit into the diagram below, but it's mostly Fender Jazz and Modulus basses. Amps are all Gallien-Krueger along with a few pedals from EHX, MXR, and a couple boutique brands (phaser and fuzz effects). Details are below.

For as dynamic a bass player as Flea is, his rig is deceptively simple, at least compared to what I would have expected. His pedalboard has four stompboxes, including filter effects, a Moog phaser, and a couple pedals for gain control. Three Gallien-Krueger amps take care of the rest.
