Best Fender Stratocaster Under $2000: Our top pick
Fender American Professional II Strat
In this price range the Fender American Professional II Stratocaster is easily your best bet. In fact, when we search Strats in this price range ($1100 to $1990), the Pro II is almost all that comes up. The only thing I wish we had was a set of Fender Noiseless Strat pickups, but you won't find me bad-mouthing the V-Mod single coils either.

We've set the price limit at $2000 and the floor at $1100. Our favorite Stratocaster under $2000, the American Professional II Strat, sits roughly in the middle. Any Stratocasters from the American series are good, though the Professional II Strat is one of your only options in this price range. You've got to go higher than $2k to get the nicer models, like the Ultra and Ultra Luxe Strats, which I really like because then you can get the Fender Noiseless pickups already installed. But we'll stick with our price range and go over why we think the Fender American Pro II Strat is the best Stratocaster under $2000. See what I did there?

How we choose electric guitars to recommend
This recommendation was pretty easy, since there's really only one option, in this price range, that I'd recommend.
While there are others, like the Vintera models and a few signature Strats, the Pro II is going to be the highest value option for the most people, which is what we look for when recommending an instrument to our readers. At the same time, it's important to do your own research and take into consideration your own playing style, needs, and musical interests.
But we guarantee that you're always getting recommendations from real guitar players and musicians, who focus on popular brands and products that we know and trust.

Features of the American Pro II Strat
Even if you don't go for the Fender Noiseless pickups, the Fender V-Mod single coils are still excellent, with a great tone that should stay fairly quiet depending on your gain levels and the rest of your rig. The narrow/tall frets are good for lead guitarists and bluesy styles, and the five-way pickup selector adds the flexibility we'd expect out of a Fender American Strat. But overall, the American Strats from Fender are the quintessential blues/lead electric guitar.
Frequently Asked Questions about Stratocasters Under $2000
If you don't mind going above two thousand dollars, look at the American Ultra and American Ultra Luxe Stratocasters.
Under $1000, look at the Player series Strats.
Like I said, I prefer the Fender Noiseless single coils, but the V-Mods are still really nice. I would stick with those unless they start giving you noise issues.
Conclusion
If you're trying to get into the Fender Strat game and you want to stay under $2000, the American Pro II is probably your ideal landing spot - no doubt about it. But there are always variables and everyone's situation is unique. So do your own research and make sure you take those things into consideration.
