Which Fender Stratocaster should I buy? (Quiz)
This quiz contains nine questions that help you zoom in on a Fender Strat that could be the best option for your particular situation. If you have questions feel free to leave them in the comments section below.

This quiz focuses on the most popular Fender Stratocaster options but does not include the entire Strat library. Keep in mind that results may or may not be ideal for your situation, and you should take them with a grain of salt. While we make every effort to be helpful and objective, recommendations are - inherently - subjective. Keep that in mind as you assess your options.
Your Budget
One of the heaviest weighted questions in this quiz is your budget. If by chance you get a suggestions that is outside of your budget, consider shifting to a different series of Stratocaster but with similar features. For example, the Player series is far cheaper than the American Professional series, which is likewise cheaper than the Ultra Luxe series.
Other Variables
Fender will put out the same guitar with a variety of different colors. Other variables that can exist within the same model include pickup configuration, pickup brand, and bridge design/hardware.
Weighted Questions in the Quiz
All of the questions in this quiz carry a different weight, depending on how crucial it is to your final decision. As we've already mentioned, the budget question is weighted heavily. By comparison, the lead vs rhythm question is weighted pretty lightly.
Places to Buy
For buying a Stratocaster brand new we'd recommend Sweetwater since they're one of the largest Fender dealers in the country. For used Strats, keep an eye on Reverb's inventory. They usually have plenty to pick from including past year models which can go for a bit cheaper.
