Updated the screenshot for the Yousician login screen and double-checked accuracy of cancellation process. Also updated Yousician's free trial policy, which is 30 days for new members and seven days for those who have already had an account and want to try Yousician a second time.
In this article I'm going to show you how to both cancel a Yousician premium account and a free trial (both are cancelled exactly the same way). If you haven't found Yousician's program helpful, or that you've just improved as a musician beyond where Yousician can be helpful, a simple cancellation is easy to do from within your account dashboard.
Furthermore, if Yousician has been an unsatisfying solution and you're looking for something else to help you learn guitar, checkout our list of recommended Yousician alternatives.
Here's how it works for both the Premium account and free trial, which currently Yousician has listed as 30 days (in the past it has been both seven and 14). From what I can tell, it gets dropped to seven days if you've already had a paid account and want to try Yousician a second time.
Cancel Yousician (quick step guide)
- Go to accounts.yousician.com
- Click "Profile" and select "My Account"
- Scroll down and click "Cancel Subscription" or "Cancel Free Trial"
- Answer the feedback questionnaire (if you want)
- Confirm cancellation
Yousician Alternatives We Recommend
If you're cancelling Yousician and looking for an alternative, we'd recommend the following guitar lesson programs.
How to Cancel a Premium Yousician Account or Free Trial
Step 1: Go to account.yousician.com
First, go to account.yousician.com and log in with your email (or username) and password.
If the account page doesn't come up right away (it should), click the "Profile" drop-down menu and select "My Account":
Step 2: Scroll to the subscription section and click "Cancel Free Trial" or "Cancel Membership"
Then scroll subscription section and click the "Cancel Free Trial" or Cancel Membership link.
Step 3: Select "other" in the feedback section and click the red cancel button
Once you click that button, you'll be taken to a feedback screen which is kind of annoying because it doesn't let you cancel without selecting a feedback option. I don't like these things, so I always just click "Other" and then you can finalize your cancellation.
Since I clicked "Other reason" I was prompted a second time to divulge the thought process leading me to cancel.
Step 4: Opt out of the second feedback section and click the red cancel button again
This time (thankfully) the red cancel button wasn't grayed out so I didn't elaborate at all. Click it to finalize your cancellation.
You'll be redirected to the "Sad to See You Go" page and you'll receive an email that reminds you of all the great things you lose by cancelling (and gives you an opportunity to re-subscribe). But otherwise it's a fairly straightforward cancellation process.
Other Yousician Resources
We've published some other Yousician resources that you might find helpful, including reviews and comparison articles.
All of this content has been written based on an actual purchase, use, and testing of a full Yousician membership and the downloadable app. Yousician is not an affiliate or partner of Guitar Chalk in any capacity.
Now that you know how to cancel Yousician, you're ready to move on with your life. If that still involves playing guitar, we'd recommend checking out the Guitar Tricks free trial instead. It's a great alternative to Yousician that's more thorough and you don't have to pay extra for the good song lessons.

Hey Ronni – If you bought the sub through Google Play you should be able to cancel it through the mobile app. Have you tried that? Are you also able to log in on the desktop version?
Thank you for your reply. It helped me a lot)
